How does the Hoops Classic process work?

Step 1

Register for your school’s Hoops Classic tryouts. The $40 player fee covers an official Tournament of Champions t-shirt, facilities, referees, equipment and more. Donations are appreciated and help support the kids, IPSF, TPSF and the overall event.

Step 2

You will be directly notified by your school’s designated Tournament of Champions coordinator about specific tryout times and locations. These will vary by school and grade level. Players must attend tryouts to be eligible to play in Hoops Classic.

Step 3

If and when your child is selected on a team, the head coach will notify you via TeamSnap and provide additional information for the event. If your child does not make a team, you will be refunded the player fee.

Step 4

Official school team practices will begin once rosters are submitted to the OC Youth Sports Association. Practice times and locations will be determined by the school teams’ coaches and may vary.
