Hello Everyone,
We are excited to be hosting our 3rd Annual 2024 Volley Fest tournament this weekend. Here are some important updates:
Volley Fest Format: Each team will play a mandatory “Friendly Game” on Saturday, Oct 26th (this match is a guaranteed match that does not affect bracket advancement or TOC points). On Sunday Oct 27th, all divisions will enter single elimination bracket play. Please review your full backet (winners advance to the right).
Schedule: The schedule is live, https://ocyouthsports.org/tournament/volley-fest/schedules/. Brackets can be found at the bottom of your division’s schedule.
How to view your brackets on mobile: At the bottom of the schedule is a section labeled Brackets. There is a button (small black box with arrows pointed towards the corners) to click on to expand it to full screen above the standings section.
We will be utilizing Irvine High School, Woodbridge, and Northwood High School as our tournament sites Saturday and Sunday. Like mentioned above, we recommend identifying how your bracket advances as the day progresses.
Volley Fest Rules: https://ocyouthsports.org/tournament/volley-fest/rules/ (Please note some rules have been modified from last year’s event so please review thoroughly)
Best Regards,
OC Youth Sports
Hello Parents,
By now all schools should have had tryouts. As a reminder, teams must be submitted by 11:59PM Friday, October 11th. Teams should only be submitted by a coach or coordinator. Instructions on how to submit teams have been shared with school coordinators. We strongly encourage you to verify rosters before having your coordinator or coach submit teams. If these are a concern or issue, please reach out to us as soon as possible.
Once rosters are finalized and submitted, OC Youth Sports will build and roster teams in TeamSnap and place them in their appropriate division. All teams must have a coach to be eligible. All teams that have been submitted and built will be listed here; https://ocyouthsports.org/tournament/volley-fest/teams/.
Refunds after Team Submissions: After all teams are built for the Volley Fest, players that were not placed on a team will receive a full refund. This includes schools that will not be participating but have players registered. Players that are submitted on a team are ineligible for a refund. If there are any questions or concerns about refunds for any event, please reach out to us at https://ocyouthsports.org/contact/, or [email protected].
Best Regards,
OC Youth Sports
Hello,
Thank you so much for registering for our 3rd Annual Volley Fest Tournament! The registration deadline for Volley Fest is a week away. Please have all students interested in participating register before tryouts occur.
1) This is your last opportunity to make the final push at your school to get the students to register for Volley Fest. As a reminder if your school can not meet the minimum of 8 players to submit a team for your child’s division, your team will not be eligible to participate. You are able to see how many registrants there are for your school under “Roster” on TeamSnap through your school’s Volley Fest team.
2) All coaches and coordinators are added as “non-players” towards the bottom of your roster which will help identify who to reach out to for school specific inquiries. If no one is listed at the bottom, a coordinator and coaches at your school have not yet been identified. Please have anyone interested in volunteering to be a coordinator or a coach fill out this form, https://ocyouthsports.org/tournament/volunteer/.
3) Your school’s tryouts should take place the week of Sept 30th – Oct 4th. Tryout times and locations are determined by each school.
4) Team Submissions are due Oct 11th. Teams are submitted through the coordinator portal once it is open. This can be submitted by either the coach or the coordinator of your school.
