Hello,

There has been an important update to our Volley Fest tournament. We received notice yesterday that our gym approval at Irvine High School for this weekend has been canceled due to other large events being hosted there.

All game times have been kept the same. However, please note all Saturday, Nov. 4th games originally at Irvine High School will move to University High School and all Sunday, Nov. 5th originally at Irvine High School will be moved to Portola High School. The schedule and brackets have been updated to reflect this, https://ocyouthsports.org/tournament/volley-fest/schedules/.

Another thing to note is with us utilizing three courts at each of these locations (Northwood, University, Portola), seating will be limited for spectators. Not all the bleachers will not be pulled out to leave room for the courts to be set up.

Hello Everyone,

We are excited to be hosting our 2nd Annual 2023 Volley Fest tournament this weekend. Here are some important updates:

Volley Fest Format: Each team will play a “Friendly Game” on Saturday, Nov 4th (this match is a guaranteed match that does not affect bracket advancement or TOC points). On Sunday Nov 5th, all divisions will enter single elimination bracket play. Please review your full backet (winners advance to the right).

Schedule: The schedule is live, https://ocyouthsports.org/tournament/volley-fest/schedules/ (*Please note the schedule has been changed slightly for some divisions since the schedule has been released so double check just in case your team’s games have moved). Brackets can be found at the bottom of your division’s schedule.

How to view your brackets on mobile: At the bottom of the schedule is a section labeled Brackets. There is a button (small black box with arrows pointed towards the corners) to click on to expand it to full screen above the standings section.

We will be utilizing Irvine High School and Northwood High School as our tournament sites Saturday and Sunday. Like mentioned above, we recommend identifying how your bracket advances as the day progresses.

Thank you for registering for the 2nd Annual 2023 Volley Fest!

By now all schools should have had or should be having tryouts this coming week. As a reminder, teams must be submitted by 11:59pm Monday, October 23rd. Once teams are submitted players will no longer be eligible for a refund if they back out. We strongly encourage you to verify rosters before having your coordinator or coach submit teams. If these are a concern or issue, please reach out to us as soon as possible.

Once rosters are finalized and submitted by your coordinator or coach, OC Youth Sports will build and roster teams in TeamSnap and place them in their appropriate division. All teams must have a coach to be eligible.

If nobody has been communicating with you from your school, please check your TeamSnap account for your team. Each player is automatically placed on a school team after registering (e.g.: all players from Vista Verde are on team Vista Verde – Volley Fest).

At the bottom of each team is the non-player volunteers, which has the coordinators and coaches that have filled out the volunteer form on our website. We look forward to taking the court November 4th & 5th.

Best Regards,

OC Youth Sports
